Summary & Responsibilities
Minds Matter is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to empowering students from underprivileged communities to achieve their dreams of graduating from college. We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Associate. This is a non-paid volunteer position requiring 10 to 15 hours per week during weekdays and normal working hours.
Core Responsibilities include:
Outreach and Donor Prospecting
Conduct outreach to potential donor prospects via email and phone.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing donors.
Identify and research prospective donors and sponsors to support our initiatives.
Marketing and Campaign Development
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create impactful promotional materials.
Contribute innovative ideas to increase awareness and engagement with our mission.
Research and Analysis
Perform industry and company research to identify potential prospects.
Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and partnerships.
Provide detailed reports on research findings and recommendations.
Customer Relationship Management
Record and update outreach activities in CRM software (Salesforce or other).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions and communications.
Generate and analyze CRM reports to track outreach effectiveness and donor engagement.

Have experience in business development, sales, or customer services
Are comfortable performing outreach via email and phone during typical business hours
Have strong research and analytical skills
Have knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Are able to work independently and as part of a team
