Reports to: Executive Director & Chief of Operations
Team: Core Leadership Team
Time Commitment: 10 hrs per week (may be up to 20 hrs/week during the spring season)

Summary & Responsibilities
The Director of Summer Programs oversees student enrollment and attendance in summer programs at leading universities. This person will manage a team of Summer Program volunteers as they partner with students to prepare summer program applications, review financial aid packages, coordinate travel, and maintain the summer programs budget. Responsibilities include:
Overseeing entire Summer Program application process for sophomores and juniors to ensure each student’s successful completion of a summer program
Managing Summer Programs tuition and travel budget
Developing application timeline and instructions for Houston’s student cohort
Managing list of eligible program institutions in partnership with the Minds Matter National team
Providing support to Summer Programs volunteers
Providing direct support through student’s application, tuition and financial aid review, and enrollment process
Arrange travel and transportation for students
Partner with other Minds Matter chapters to maintain collaborative relationship
Leading a small team of volunteer direct reports and facilitating recurring team meetings at a frequency that best fits your team
Active participation in bi-weekly Core Leadership Meetings to establish strong communication and interfaces between teams, and to advance cross-collaboration among teams
